This family-run hotel is situated in the community town of Rettenbach, only 3 km from the climatic spa of St. Englmar and is peacefully situated on the edge of a forest. Here you will find a warm atmosphere and friendly hospitality. We have recently renovated all rooms and guestrooms and furnished them individually and comfortably to ensure our guests feel right at home. In the summer months you can enjoy our swimming pool as well as many sporting activities. Relax on our wonderful sun-bathing lawn, in the sauna or in the Roman steam bath. In the surrrounding area you will find ski lifts, ski slopes, toboggan runs and snow parks belonging to the ski resort of St. Englmar. There are also 50 km of winter hiking trails available for you to explore. The Rundwanderweg No. 5 (approximately 10 km long) runs right by the hotel. In the summer you can expect 125 km of well-marked hiking trails, as our hotel is situated in the middle of the hiking network of the St. Englmar resort.

St. Englmar is situated on the outskirts of the Bavarian Forest, approximately 35 km from the district towns of Straubing and Deggendorf and 70 k from Passau and Regensburg. As well as the magical winter sport and winter hiking options in the area, mountain bikers, Nordic walkers and nature lovers will also fall in love with the surroundings. Families and active people of all ages visiting this destination have a whole host of activities to try - take your pick, be it sport, leisure or culture. The surrounding area is filled with interesting day trip destinations, for example, visit the glass-making villages of Bodenmais, Arnbruck and Zwiesel, the highest mountain in the Bavarian Forest - the Arber, Tittling Farming Village Museum, Lohberg animal park, the "Bayernpark" or the nearby towns of Straubing, Passau and Regensburg. Make use of our hotel as the perfectly situated base from which to visit all the sights in the Bavarian Forest.
